Great long deep-dive into the Renfield character, I love the detail. One of the most interesting things for me is your description of how lunatics were treated in those times, "lunatics" like Oscar Wilde for example, heh. And how crazy people were grouped with females. The "intuition" that women [and lunatics] have access to, because they're "non-rational". Reminded me of that part of Frank Herbert's Dune series that I've been mulling over lately regarding the Kwisatz Haderach having special access to the mysterious "place where males cannot bare to look", while also accessing the place where females cannot look. Also the stuff about Victorian repression is fascinating: the subversive role that Renfield plays, that his freedom from repression allows him. Good choice of quotes. Your analysis is on a high level. Also, Van Helsing ROASTED! That was fun. I love your little dashes of humour. Not sure if you used that meal plan joke twice or not but it was funny commenting on it. Looking forward to your next episode!
